We have a practice that creates a safe, fun, and rewarding atmosphere for both children and their parents. From the moment you step into the office you are surrounded by the jungle. The children will quickly find their way to the gaming area. There they will have the option of playing our touch screen games or relaxing and watching a movie. We even take requests for the movie. Our goal is to make the children feel comfortable and at home.
When your child is ready to be seen, which will never be a long wait, you will continue deeper into the jungle. You may sit among the elephants and giraffes, you may go with the alligators and turtles in our swamp room, or you may get to see Mike The Tiger in our LSU room! No matter where you are there will always be the added feature of your child having their own TV mounted to the ceiling for easy, relaxed viewing during their appointment.
We try our best to accommodate our patients as much as possible when scheduling appointments. We have found that children with extensive dental work or sedations are better to be seen early in the morning when they are fresh and can have a more positive experience. Some appointments may require your child to miss some school. However, with continued care, appointments during school can be kept to a minimum.
We request 24-hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment, but we ask for your help so that we may be able to schedule other patients requiring dental care.
Our office is committed to delivering the best in world-class healthcare and in helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because all insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith and cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. We encourage all parents to get involved and be knowledgeable of your children's benefits so that together we can better understand your policy. With some carriers our office may be in network, with others out of network, and coverage may change at any time without notification. We request that you notify our office of any address, phone, or insurance changes as soon as they occur. In order to avoid any surprises, confusion, or frustration do your best to contact us with changes before scheduled appointments.

Your dental plan may not cover some preventative procedures that can save you money later, such as sealants or certain x-rays. This in no way means these treatments are unnecessary. Dr Brasuell can help you decide what treatments are best for your child. Dr Brasuell bases his recommendations on dental health, not insurance benefits.
As a courtesy to our patients, we will bill most insurance companies for services and allow 60 days for them to render payment. After this time you will be responsible for the balance. Your dental plan is designed to share in your dental care costs and may only cover a portion of your bill. It is meant to help you insure your investment in your child's dental health. We realize that understanding what your dental plan will cover can be difficult and we would be more than happy to answer any questions we can. Please keep in mind your coverage and benefits are ultimately between you and your insurance company. If at any time you have questions, please feel free to call our insurance coordinator.
Your computer-estimated patient portion will be due at the time of service for preventive care. If it has been determined that the patient will require treatment beyond the preventive appointment, you will be provided with an estimated breakdown of all applicable fees which will be due on the day services are rendered. Our office accepts cash, check, Mastercard, Discover, Visa, and 3rd party financing through care credit.
